IndiGo has announced the cancellation of all its domestic flights departing from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday until 11:59 pm, an official from the airline said.

According to IndiGo, the airline is taking a series of measures to support impacted travellers during the extensive cancellation period.

“Passengers stranded at the airport are being provided with refreshments and assistance from ground staff, while alternative flight options are being arranged based on individual preferences. The statement also offered hotel accommodations and full refunds where applicable.
The airline has urged all customers who were scheduled to depart from Delhi today to contact the airline’s on-ground teams for help retrieving checked-in luggage and for guidance on next steps.
“With the cancellations affecting one of the country’s busiest travel hubs, significant congestion and delays are expected across terminals,” it said.
Authorities and airline representatives are working to manage the fallout as travellers seek clarity and rebooking options.
